This project won the IV Friends of Florence Restoration Prize in 2016 that was dedicated to artworks that were damaged by flood, terrorism, war and other disasters. The painting was in the church of Santa Felicità near to Ponte Vecchio and when our restoration started it was still covered by the flood from 50 years before (flood of Nov 4, 1966). It was completely invisible and the restorers were able to reline the painting and to save it.
